Place a Hold

1. From the Full Details page or the search results page, select the place hold icon.
2. Type in your user ID or alternate ID.
3. Type in your PIN.
4. Choose a library to pick up the item.
5. Click Place Hold to place the hold or Clear to start over.

**Optional: to put a freeze on the hold while you are away, use the calendar to enter a start date and an end date.

• Your place in the hold queue will not change.
• If you don't put in an end date, the hold will remain "frozen" until it expires - typically a year from when it was placed.
• The format should be as follows: 2/18/2007.
• You will get an error if you enter a date earlier than today.

If you wish to place a hold on more than one copy of a title, please contact your library.
