Navigation and Display

Use only the iBistro toolbar buttons to navigate through iBistro, not your browser buttons. The following options may be available for navigation.

Change Display

The Change Display button takes you to the Change Display page, where you can change the library holdings that are displayed (from all branches or a particular branch), change whether full or brief records are displayed, or change the record format display to MARC format.

Go Back

The Go Back button returns the display to the activity screen that immediately precedes the current screen.

How Do I...

The Help button accesses iBistro's online help.

History

The History button allows you to search again on a previous listing by displaying the Web resource search terms used during your iBistro session.

Saved Bibliography

The Saved List button takes you to the Saved List page, which includes a listing of titles from the search results that you have chosen to mark for future reference. On the Saved List page, you can sort item information by author, title, or call number. You may also limit by library branch or by all branches. This is helpful, since each libraries copies displays in the list. In addition, you can view, save, e-mail, or print the item record contents as follows:

• You can view the record on your computer screen using a default text program.
• You can save the record in text format on your computer using a default text program.
• You can print the record in MARC format from your computer using a default text program.
• You can print the record as a simple text document from your computer using a default text program.
• You can e-mail the item's information to a specified e-mail account. If the e-mail was successful, iBistro will return the following message:
  Search results were mailed.

Limit Search

The Limit Search button jumps you to the bottom of the Search Results page to the Search Again area. You may limit your original search in a number of ways, including by language, library shelving location, or publication year. You may not limit a browse search.

Logout

The Logout button logs you out of iBistro and returns you to the login screen. You must log in to iBistro again to activate functionality. You may not log out of iBistro within the library.

MyBistro

The MyBistro button allows you to change preferences for Tell Me When and My Favorite.... This is not available within the library.

New Search

The New Search button returns you to the main Home page, where you will find the iBistro Simple Search.

Next

The Next button works with the Previous button and displays when information spans more than one page. Select the Next button to move to the next page. This button does not display on the final page of information.

If search results include several pages of item information, use the Pages function at the bottom of the hit list to jump forward and backward within the results pages.

Previous

The Previous button works with the Next button and displays when information spans more than one page. Select the Previous button to return to the previous page. This button does not display on the first page of information.

If search results include several pages of item information, use the Pages function at the bottom of the hit list to jump forward and backward within the results pages.

Top

The Top arrow returns you to the top of the iBistro window.

X-Refs

The X-Refs button displays when a record has cross-references attached to it and if a search term matches an entry in a thesaurus. Select X-Ref to display a list of terms related to the previous search expression on the Catalog Lookup By Cross Reference page. Select from these terms to continue browsing or searching the catalog.
