Borrowing Information
General Policies
- Your library card may be used at any library within the SAILS network, with the exception of public school or academic libraries.
- You must have your library card to check out items, renew items and check your account.
- When picking up available holds, the card that the hold was placed on must be present for checkout.
- Available holds will be held for one (1) week.
- You may return materials borrowed from this library to any SAILS library, with the exception of puppets, museum passes, and Virtual Catalog/ILL items, which must be returned here.
- There is a book drop located at the entrance to the lower level for your convenience. (Use at your own risk.)
- CDs and CD-ROMs may not be returned in the book drop. There is a $1.00 fine for doing so.
- Your first library card is free. Replacement cards cost $1.00. (There is no charge for replacing a gray SEAL card with a SAILS card.)
- Please remember to keep your home address, phone number and e-mail address up to date.

Note: If you owe a total of $10.00 or more in fines, or have 7 or more overdue items, you will not be able to renew, checkout or request any items
Renewing Materials
Renewals may be requested in person, over the phone or through iBistro, the online catalog. (Your UserID is your barcode number and your PIN is the last four digits of your phone number, unless you changed it.)
Books and audiobooks may be renewed twice, with the exception of items with holds. No other items may be renewed.
Placing Holds
You may place holds on items owned by any library in the SAILS network for pickup at the library of your choice. The library will call and/or email you when the item is available for pickup. We hold available items for one (1) week.
Holds can be placed in person, over the phone or through iBistro, the online catalog. (Your User ID is your barcode number and your PIN is the last four digits of your phone number, unless you changed it.)
