Computer Classes
General Policies
- Registration is required for participation in computer classes.
- Maximum of 4 people per class.
- Classes are offered on varying days and times during the week. Classes run for 90 minutes. Please see the course schedule or event calendar for more detail.
- Basic computer and mouse experience is required for:
- Beginning Email
- Microsoft Word (Basic & Intermediate)
- Excel Basics
- PowerPoint Basics
First-time computer user?
First time computer users should participate in Beginning Computers & WWW before registering for any other course offerings. Beginning Computers & WWW is intended for people who have never used a computer before and need to learn the basics how to use the mouse and keyboard, as well as how to use Microsoft Windows.

Are you new to computers? Do you know how to use a mouse or where to find the desktop? Are you uncomfortable using drop down menus, check boxes, and scroll bars? In this class you will learn the fundamentals of a computer and how to use Microsoft Windows, as well as how to use Internet Explorer to navigate the WWW and search, not just surf, the Internet. NOTE: This class is designed for those who have little or no computer experience. |

Beginning Email |

Participants will learn the basics of Email including how to setup Prerequisite: Beginning Computers class or solid WWW experience. |

Microsoft Word (Basic & Intermediate) |
|
Participants will learn the basics and practice using copy and paste, formatting text, and saving. Intermediate will cover topics such as Drawing toolbar, Tables and Mail Merge. Prerequisite: Beginning Computers class or solid mouse, keyboarding, and Windows experience. |

Excel Basics |
|
Participants will learn the tips and tricks of entering data into an Excel worksheet, and how to format cells and use AutoFill, AutoFit, and AutoSum. Prerequisite: Beginning Computers class or solid mouse, keyboarding, and Windows experience. |

Participants will learn the basic tools of the PowerPoint window, creating and working with presentation slides. Prerequisite: Beginning Computers class or solid mouse, keyboarding, and Windows experience. |
