If you provide us with your e-mail address, we can notify you when your hold/holds become available for you and remind you when your checked out items are coming due.  Speak to someone at the circulation desk to update your record.

Did you know that you are able to suspend holds
(put a hold on your holds)?!

If you are planning to be away or find yourself otherwise unavailable for a specific period of time, you can "suspend your holds".
All you have to do is:

  • Go to "view my acct" in iBistro and choose "edit hold" either next to the single item you would like to suspend or check the box at the bottom which allows you to pick all or a group at once.

  • Select the date of the last available day you can pick up as the "Suspension start date" and the date you would like your hold status to resume as the "Suspension end date".

  • Then click on button "edit hold" or "edit selected holds" to complete the process.

Remember - This can be done on all or a select few of the items you have on hold without losing your place in line for those items.
If you experience any difficulty with this, please speak with someone at the library.

Overdrive...

Downloadable books are here!
Digital books and eBooks..

What is it? A collection of digital books and music that give you the ability to download, listen and enjoy unabridged spoken word audio on their PCs, laptops, PDAs and many inexpensive MP3 players.

How do you know what we have available? When you access the Overdrive database you can search thru the titles available. Currently there are 176 eBooks, 833 Audio books, and 199 Digital Music files. The eBooks include titles on travel, business & careers, self-help, and juvenile non-fiction. The Audio books are mostly focusing on popular fiction genres, but also hit on business foreign language, new age and self-improvement. The Digital Music files focus on the uncommon genre of music such as, Ballet, Jazz, Instrumental, and Orchestral music.

How do you check the item out ? You add your selections to "My Cart" and you can have 4 titles in your cart and one time. Placing a title in your cart is like placing it on temporary reserve. The items in your cart will remain available there for up to 30 minutes.

How many and how long can these items be checked out for? You can have 4 titles checked out at a time, typically for 14 days but can vary from title to title. Once the lending period is over, although the digital book file will remain on your machine, it will no longer be readable.

You can also place a hold on digital books if they are not available and cancel if you not longer need it..
