 Getting Your Child a Library Card

Children may receive an SAILS card whenever their parents feel they are ready to have one. Application cards must be signed by a parent or guardian. The adult who signs the application card will be held responsible for any overdue fines or lost books.

Children who have previously had an SAILS card can receive a new one for $1.00, unless there are outstanding overdue fines or lost books associated with the card. Children are never charged more than $3.00 in overdue charges, but they (and their guardian) are held responsible for the full cost of lost or damaged books.
