Massachusetts Friends of Libraries - Project Alert

The following is posted on behalf of the Massachusetts Friends of Libraries.

This e-mailing list will be used to distribute updates on state and occasionally federal legislative issues dealing with libraries. Many will be alerts forwarded from the MLA Legislative Committee asking for a prompt response, sometimes within 24 to 48 hours. As a representative of your Friends, or Library Staff, you will also be asked to notify members of your group so they can contact their legislators as well.

If our Senators and Representatives receive a flood of calls, letters, and e-mails concerning specific library bills or funding, they WILL take notice and try to respond favorably!
