The library serves kids, families and adults. Best of all, most of our resources are offered free of charge to anyone with a library card. Come and see what we have to offer.

What's New?

Atomic Training now offers an expanded range of more than 100 self-paced online computer courses.

MorningstarDid you know the library now has Morningstar investment research online? Get up-to-the-minute quotes and information on thousands of companies, stocks and mutual funds. Use this link for access inside the library and this link to access Morningstar at home. You will need a library card.

The library also offers Folio Medical Directory, to search for local health providers, WinWay Resume for job hunters, and Ancestry.com for family research. These services must be used inside the library.

Free access in the library or at home using your library card. Home access is available for Fall River Public Library card holders only.

Older issues of local newspapers, going back to the 1850s, are available on microfilm for use in the library only. An obituary index is available for genealogy research and can be accessed online.

In addition to e-books available through the SAILS library network, Fall River Public Library cardholders have access to even more e-books through Axis 360. Titles are available in the new Blio format, which is compatible with screen readers for the blind and visually impaired. Your Library @ Home

You don't have to go to the library to use the library. Many of our resources and services can be accessed from your home, office or mobile device. You will need a valid SAILS network library card for all services except basic searching.

PLACING HOLDS: You can reserve items from home and pick them up at the library. When they are ready, we will call, text, or email you.

DOWNLOAD BOOKS: Visit our Download Guide to learn more about borrowing books for Kindles, Nooks and other e-readers. With the free Overdrive app, you can enjoy books on your phone or mobile device. Axis 360 adds even more downloadable choices and is fully accessible for the blind and visually impaired.
