Kids got in on the act for "Mr. Vinny's Little Puppet Show,"
presented by puppeteer Vinnie Lovegrove at the library
during February school vacation week, 2013.

Harry Potter Night, held during April vacation week, 2013,
offered visitors the chance to hobnob with their favorite
J.K. Rowling characters. The library's new Harry Potter mural,
seen here in the background, was also unveiled.

The library's popular World Expo Night, sponsored by
Rockland Trust, celebrated world cultures through crafts,
music, food, and fun. The highlight was this giant pinata!

Children enjoyed a visit from author Carla Marrero, who
shared her picture book "Mimsie's Mousie" during school
vacation week in February, 2013.

At the library's "Halloween Happening," ghouls and boys
enjoyed a trio of spooky stories performed by Sparky's
Puppets and a costume parade with prizes.

CHILDREN'S ROOM HOURS: Monday - Thursday, 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. ; Friday-Saturday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. (Closed Saturdays in the summer.)

Fall River Public Library's Children's Department serves infants through eighth graders with a variety of programs, books, audio books, DVDs and videos, music CDs, book kits, puzzles, toys, pop-up books, magazines, encyclopedias and reference resources.
