In November, 2009, local nursery school children

Native American Indian tepee.

Despite the summer's heat, an enthusiastic crowd
turned out to enjoy pirate songs and stories at the
opening celebration of the library's 2010 summer
reading program, sponsored by Rockland Trust.

   Entertainers Julie and Brownie presented "A Pirate's

reading club, “Books Ahoy! Set Sail for Reading!”

   Say "Aaarrrrr!" 'R' for reading, that is! Buccaneers
of all stripes attended the opening celebration of the
library's pirate-themed 2010 summer reading club,
generously sponsored by Rockland Trust.

Fall River Public Library's Children's Department serves infants through eighth graders with a variety of programs, books, audio books, DVDs and videos, music CDs, book kits, puzzles, toys, pop-up books, magazines, encyclopedias and reference resources.
