Friends Bookstore: The Friends of the Fall River Public Library Bookstore is now open year-round. The bookstore, located on the second floor balcony of the library, offers gently used paperback and hardcover books, audio books, music CDs, movies, and children's items. It's a great way to pick up some bargains and support the library. The Friends Bookstore is open Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., with some evening and Saturday hours. Hours may vary, so please call the library to confirm.
Friends of the Fall River Public Library, Inc., is a non-profit charitable organization of more than 300 citizens who have been working together since 1973 to help the Fall River Public Library serve the community.
Our Record of Service: Sponsorship of special programs: book sales, lecture series, and cultural events; contributions of books, equipment; and publicizing and supporting library needs.
On Being a Friend: Goals of the Friends are to focus public attention on the Fall River Public Library; to stimulate the use of its resources and services; to encourage gifts, endowments, and bequests; and to cooperate in developing library services and facilities in the Fall River community.
Benefits of Membership: Free admission to all Friends-sponsored special events; invitation to the annual meeting and reception; receipt of mailings containing information and notice of events of special interest to library supporters; Friends early entrance to book sales and satisfaction of being involved in a community service.

Or you can download the membership form (it's a PDF file), fill it in and mail it or drop it off at the library.
Show Your Support! The Friends of the Fall River Public Library are now selling library book bags for $3. These handy, reusable book bags are roomy enough to hold lots of books, DVDs, CDs, notebooks, your e-reader ... anything you'll need for a trip to the library (or anywhere else). The Friends also sell audio ear buds for $1.50 and USB flash drives for $5 (128 MB) and $8 (512 MB) to store your electronic data.
All funds raised go to benefit the library.
