The Fall River Public Library welcomes high school students and all young adults, 13-19, with resources and services from traditional to high-tech.
The Young Adult Room has fiction books for teens, manga and graphic novels, and nonfiction books ranging from current issues for school projects to teen health and self-help books. Also look for new titles in the Fell Room.
Public internet computers are available for use throughout the library. Teens can use the computers on the main floor for web surfing, including games and social networking. For serious research, the Reference Room has computers, reference books and librarians who can help direct you to the best print or online sources. This is also the place to find scholarship information and FAFSA financial aid forms.
Computers with Microsoft Office are available so you can use Word, PowerPoint and Publisher and print out your projects in color or black and white. If you prefer to bring your own laptop, free wireless access is available throughout the library.
Watch our calendar for news about upcoming programs for teens.
It's All Happening at the Zoo ...
Or maybe at the Boston Museum of Science, where you can experience the wild Amazon, face sharks and deep-sea creatures, or fly to the moon through the wonders of 3-D IMax cinema. And don't miss their Harry Potter Exhibit, coming soon. Or maybe you'd rather take a trip back in time to Plimoth Plantation or Mystic Seaport.
Whether you love art or animals, local history or ancient relics, you can find something fun to do at one of the attractions featured in the Fall River Library's Museum Pass Program. Museum passes are free to take out and offer either free or reduced-price admission to nearby museums, aquariums and zoos. Plan a day trip with your friends and family, and reserve a pass online. |
