The Friends is a nonprofit organization formed to support, promote and aid the library. Membership is open to anyone. A core group of hard working members are looking for additional help! Membership dues, fundraising efforts, and gifts to the Friends are used to purchase materials and present programs beyond the Library’s regular operating budget. An Annual Book Sale is usually held in May, but in 2006, the sale will be held in October, tentatively set for Friday, October 13 (Friends’ night) and Saturday, October 14. A regular mini-sale is held through out the year, and special events are held every couple of months! The Friends also sell Mansfield afghans and book bags. See display models in the library. And have you purchased your “Read” bracelet yet? Fashionistas in Mansfield all have them!
The Friends are now accepting donations for their book sales! Books, audiobooks, videos and dvds that are in very good condition are accepted! Please call the library before bringing in your donations.
