How to get a Library Card

The SAILS library card is good at over 60 libraries in the Southeast Massachusetts area.

To become a registered borrower, you need to fill out the Library's application form and furnish both photo identification and proof of your present address. If you have a valid library card from one of the other Massachusetts library networks (such as CLAM or Old Colony) you may choose to use the same card when registering for borrowing privileges at the Richards Memorial Library.

Library cards must be presented when checking out material. Patrons are required to use their own cards rather than those of family members. Lost cards should be reported as soon as possible; replacement cards are $1.00 each. Please notify the library of any change of address or email if this is how we contact you. This may be done online through iBistro or in person. Parents or guardians are responsible for items borrowed by children.

To access the on-line catalog, iBistro, and your account enter your entire 14 digit library barcode and your pin number. If you do not know your pin number, try the last 4 digits of your phone number first. Otherwise, call us during regular business hours and we will look it up for you.

Once you have logged in, you can place holds, renew items, check what you have out and use the periodical databases from home. You can also download audio ebooks to your own computer as long as you are a North Attleborough resident.
