            Developments in science and the fine arts during the Renaissance changes the way people look at life.

            Constantinople falls to the Ottoman Turks in 1453 and the Byzantine Empire vanishes from the earth.

            Islam comes to northern India and the Mogul (Mughal) dynasty is established.

            In 1492, the Moors are driven out of Spain and the Spanish Empire arises under Ferdinand and Isabella.

            The arrival of the Spanish shatters the Aztec Civilization.

           The arrival of the Spanish destroys the Inca.
 
17.       Peter the Great
            Peter the Great brings western ideas to the backward country of Russia .

            Europeans arrive in Australia in 1788 and aboriginal societies are affected.

            The scientific revolution is created by Galileo, Newton and Copernicus.
 
20.       Medicine history
            In the 19th century Dr. Lister and Dr. Semmelweis was their hands and modern medicine begins.

            The Trail of tears changes Cherokee society.

            The battle of Culloden changes the course of Scottish history.

            A blight in 1845 ruins the Irish potato crop and causes the great potato famine.

            Gold is found in California in 1848

            After the Civil War, slavery on the plantation ends in the American South.
