Discussions

The Appraisal Day was successful and netted the Friends $3112. It was felt that it would be worth trying again next year. Skinner won’t begin to book next year’s dates until the end of summer. It might be interesting to mike one of the appraisers (with everyone’s consent).

Frank Ward presented the Directors Report thanking the Friends for supporting the library and supplying the extras the library needs.

The Nominating Committee presented Judy Friend and Bill Sears as new board members; they were voted on and accepted. Judy Friend will take over as secretary and Fred Walnut will take over as Treasurer. The Committee will continue to accept nominations as the board can have up to ten members.

The Budget Committee presented the proposed budget for fiscal year 2009. The budget was voted on and accepted.

The proposed by law change to delete the line that limits board membership to 6 years was voted on and accepted.

We will begin to discuss the fall book sale at the next meeting.

The President Judy Lewis closed the meeting at 8:15 PM.

Our next meeting will be on Wednesday June 4th at 7:00 PM.
