Teacher ResourcesThe Library wants to make life easier for teachers and group leaders. We can prepare bibliographies of good web sites for your students, set up reserve sections of books on a given topic and order books and videos for you to use. In addition we have the following resources: Hockomock Collection: Hockomock Community Partnership for Children is a program of Self Help, Inc. with funding by the Mass. Dept. of Education. Foxboro, Mansfield, Norfolk, Norton, Plainville, Wrentham and North Attleboro are part of this group. The collection contains books, videos, puppets, big books, book/puppet kits and curriculum theme kits for the use of children, teachers, daycare providers, parents and education students in the local area. The items must be returned at the library from which they are borrowed. The kits (which may be checked out for 2 weeks) include: Gross Motor Activities; Self-Esteem and Social Skills; Music; Fine Motor Activities; Abuse Prevention; Body and Nutrition; Disability; Science and Nature; Festivals around the world. SNAC Collection: The North Attleborough Special Needs Advisory Council (SNAC) is a group of parents and educators working for the benefit of all children in the North Attleborough Schools. As part of their outreach, they have created a special collection of books and videos that are made available through the library. The collection is in the middle room in the same shelves as the juvenile videos. Check out the Museum of Science Harrison Lyman Library. You can email them questions about science or technology education.
