DMF contains over 60 million records created from SSA payment records (mostly from the mid-1960s to date) and is updated monthly. The database can contain name, social security number, date of birth, date of death, and last residence/lump sum payment information when available, and can be searched on those criteria. http://ssdi.genealogy.rootsweb.com/ The American Family Immigration History Center This database provides information on 22 million immigrants and ship's crews who arrived at Ellis Island and the Port of New York between 1898 and 1924. Searchable by name, including alternate spelling, results provide date of arrival, age, marital status, ethnicity, residence, gender, ship, and port of departure. Information on each ship and ship manifests are also available. Immigrant Experience includes The Peopling of America, which covers pre-1790 to 2000 with a "timeline showing forces behind immigration and their impact on the immigrant experience." Free registration allows additions of websites, family record retention in the LDS vault, email list access, and other services. http://www.familysearch.org/ Nationwide Gravesite Locator This searchable database from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs "contains more than three million records of veterans and dependents buried in VA's 120 cemeteries since the Civil War. It also has records of some burials in state veteran's cemeteries and burials in Arlington National Cemetery from 1999 to the present."
