There was a North Elm Street District Branch (Elmville) run by Mrs. Prescott Snell that started in 1913 that was quite successful. It was maintained as a circulating library. Mrs. Snell ran the Elmville branch on record in 1925 and continued to be operating in 1933.
Directions to West Bridgewater Public Library From the North: From Rte. 128 take Rte. 24 South to exit 16A. Follow curve to
right past two houses. The WBPL is the tan brick building on the right, 80 Howard
Street. Parking is available in the front lot or on the side of the building. From Rte. 495 take Exit 7 for Rte. 24 North. From Rte. 24 North take Exit 16A. Follow route 106 East for approximately 1.6 miles. Then follow second part of directions for "From the North." From the West: Follow Rte. 106 East. From the SouthEast: Take Rte. 28 North from Bridgewater to Rte. 106 West. From the East: Take Rte.18 South to Rte. 106 West. Continue past intersection of Rtes. 106 and 28 at lights and proceed past WB Police/Fire station to blinking yellow light. Turn right onto Howard Street. Then follow second part of directions for "From the North."
