Friends of the Library President needed!! The Friends of the Library needs your help! We are looking for a new President. Do you enjoy organizing programs for youth and adults? Do you enjoy selecting programs that the public will enjoy? Then this can be the dream volunteer job for you! The commitment would involve running bi-monthly meetings and making financial decisions about library programs and activities and advocating for Library interests, approximately 2-4 hours per month. New members are always welcome as well. Please contact the library if you are interested. The Friends of the West Bridgewater Public Library is an organization of volunteers that helps to support library programs and services. In addition to the Museum Pass Program, (please visit the Museum Passes page for more detailed information). The volunteers sponsor a variety of program speakers and the Reading is Fundamental book distribution program for West Bridgewater public school students in grades one through five as well as an ongoing book sale. RECENT EVENTS SPONSORED BY THE FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY Edwardian Christmas Tea Rita Parisi of Waterfall Productions hosted an Edwardian Christmas Tea at the WBPL on December 15, 2010. Mrs. Gordon, played by Ms. Parisi transported her audience back to Christmas 1908. Ernest Hemingway Richard Clarke presented Life Language and the Pursuit of Happiness-Ernest Hemingway Alive! at the WBPL on February 22, 2011.The tragedies and triumphs, the joys and sorrows, and the loves and losses of this icon of American literature were brought to life.

Books For Sale Books for sale are located on bookshelves near the side library entrance and near the magazine (periodicals) area. Paperback books cost fifty cents each or three for one dollar. Hard cover books cost one dollar each or three for two dollars. Children's books cost twenty cents each or five for one dollar. Videos and DVDs cost one dollar.
