Part Time Library Page

Description:

Responsibilities include shelving library materials in proper order, shelf reading to assure materials are placed properly, and answering directional questions. Ability to communicate effectively and work well with the public is necessary. Must be flexible and work independently without direct supervision.

This is a part-time, non-benefit position of 8-10 hours per week. Applicants must be available to work weekday afternoons or early evenings.


Qualifications: 

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions
• Ability to learn the Dewey Decimal system and other library filing systems
• Ability to direct patrons to locate collections and areas of the library in a friendly and welcoming manner
• Ability to stand, bend, and kneel as necessary to reach all library shelves
• Ability to lift or push library materials and equipment up to 35 pounds

Salary: $13.70 per hour / no benefits
