Computer Services

The library has several types of computers available for student and staff use. These computers are generally available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The library has a wireless lab of 28 laptop computers for use anywhere in the library. The laptops have Internet access as well as standard word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software. They also have Inspiration software. These computers must be reserved in advance by teachers for use with a class.

The library also has three laptops on carts with InFocus projectors. These carts can be used by teachers, classes, or individual students to give presentations. A cart must be reserved in advance at the Circulation Desk.

The library has a small Reference Lab of twelve Windows-based computers in the Reference area. These computers are used primarily for research. They access the library's online Catalog and Internet reference databases. They are also used for word processing. Software on these computers includes Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word), and Inspiration. Laser printers are networked to these computers for high-quality black-and-white printouts.

We provide some links to useful information about using the Internet as well as other links to sources of information.

The library Catalog is also available via the Internet.
